Our next summer meeting is taking place from 7-9 June 2019 at the Association Dominio Vale do Mondego, in Faia, Guarda, Portugal! We are happy to announce that the meeting will be hosted by Catharina Sligting, Alumni of Tandem Europe and a Mitost board member.
Dominio vale do Mondego is a 20 hectare biodynamic farm & cultural centre in the green Mondego valley, situated in the largest National park of Portugal, the Serra da Estrela. Great attention has been given to the quality of agriculture, the land and all the traditional buildings, but also in creating a place where there is room for individual development, a location to create and re-create. An abandoned farm in a forgotten valley was transformed in a dynamic place where artists, poets, philosophers, entrepreneurs, students, writers, musicians and theater makers, farmers and nature conservationists feel at home.
Inspired by the location and the new direction of the network future, we want to create a space to talk about the importance of sustainability and connecting urban and rural realities in a meaningful way. Together we can explore and discuss what these topics means for our personal and professional development, as well as how we want to integrate these ideas into our network.
