I studied Arabic Studies, Political Science, and Islamic Studies. After graduating, I worked for AFS Intercultural Programs for two and a half years and coordinated the programs between Germany and the African countries. I have also organized several seminars on intercultural communication for AFS.
In May 2012, I started my job as Robert Bosch Cultural Manager in the Nile Delta in Egypt. After having spent a year in Jordan in 2001/02 and a year in Cairo in 2005/06, this is my third time living in the Arab world.
The 2012-edition of the Egyptian Artbeat Festival took place in three cities: Mansoura (Nile Delta), Alexandria, and Cairo. With eleven local Egyptian bands and seven international bands performing in the three cities, as well as art shows, dance performances, and craft bazaars, we were able to attract large audiences in all three cities.
