Astrid Thews

As freelance cultural manager, facilitator and systemic organizational development consultant, I am involved with various civic and cultural projects and organizations in Germany, Egypt and other countries in the MENA region. In 2011, I co-founded the Cairo-based organization Mahatat for contemporary art. As voluntary commitments, I was representative of the Robert Bosch Cultural Managers Network in 2016 and 2017 and currently am a board member of TraumWerkStadt e.V. I am passionate about fostering an open society and creating spaces for encounter and learning.
