Dear Members of the RBCMN! We are happy to announce ten grants for the MitOst Festival 2018, which will take place from 3 to 7 October in Athens, Greece!
We can offer you:
- Reimbursement of 100% of the festival fee
- Reimbursement of 70% of travel expenses, up to €250
- €20/night accommodations fees (max. 3 nights, accommodations are not provided by MitOst e.V./RBCMN)
Here’s some info on the festival:
Once a year, MitOst invites its members and anyone interested in cultural, social, and civic exchange in Europe and neighbouring regions to the International MitOst Festival, a four-day international forum that brings together cultural activities, occupational training, and networking opportunities.
Since 2003, the festival has taken place annually, each time in a different city. From 3 to 7 October 2018, Athens (Greece) will host the MitOst Festival.
The festival is the highlight of MitOst’s year, a time when the diversity of MitOst and its members’ commitment and enthusiasm are on full display.
About 300 people will participate, getting to know the host city and its inhabitants. Participants will present their own projects, hold events, organize mini-projects, offer workshops, and network with one another. There will also be plenty of space for self-organized intercultural cooperation. A general programme of film screenings, exhibitions, discussions, readings, city tours, and concerts will bring the spirit of MitOst to the host city, all while uniting members, partner organizations, and locals.
How to Register for the MitOst Festival?
You can register for the 16th International MitOst Festival online until 4 July 2018. Please read the terms and conditions of participation, where you can find important information about the registration procedure and the different festival fees.
After you have registered, you will receive regular updates and helpful tips for your travel and preparing for your trip.
How to propose a session for the MitOst Festival?
One of the most interesting aspects of the five-day festival is that the programme is always shaped by your ideas and interests. Share your knowledge in a workshop, organize a lively discussion, or stage an exhibition – in short: We invite you to co-create the MitOst Festival programme together with us. Until 4 July 2018, you can submit proposals for events, learning sessions, creative workshops, and celebrations in the format of your choice.
You can submit your session proposals via the online application form. We are especially looking for sessions that speak to the topics described above.
