Experts Wanted: “Brokering intercultural exchange within societies”

We are pleased to announce that the network is collaborating with the University of Heilbronn to organize the first international winter school in Arts and Cultural Management in Berlin, which will take place between 28 and 30 November 2018. The winter school’s topic is ‘brokering intercultural exchange within societies’.

The winter school is open to selected Master’s and Ph.D. students in arts and cultural management. It seeks to offer participants new insights into the relationship between the profession of arts and cultural management and the wider socio-political issues of cultural rights, and, in particular, cultural inequality, and to give them an opportunity to learn more about the complex processes of inclusion and exclusion involved in globalization and migration. With a special focus on participatory art projects and the responsibilities of arts and cultural managers within transitioning societies, the programme will combine a variety of different formats, including lectures, workshops, and case clinics.

Call for experts
The idea behind the cooperation between the RBCM Network and the winter school is to enable students to benefit from network members’ expertise. We are delighted to share this call for applications for four experts who are interested in sharing their practical knowledge with students in an interactive way, be it in a workshop, game, explanation of a method, performance, or otherwise. Participants will also be able to join students on one of their field visits to other cultural organizations in Berlin.
The event will take place at the International Alumni Center (iac Berlin), Linienstraße 65 A 10119 Berlin, from 28 to 30 November 2018.
The language of the event is English.

The RBCM network will cover:

  • Travel expenses to Berlin
  • Accommodation in Berlin if needed for a maximum of three nights
  • Allowance of 100 Euros for a maximum of three days

All RBCM network travel and accommodation regulations apply.
